Synopsis
MORPHOLOGY:
Connecting Optical Illusions and techniques; Focus in Form, Angles and Light reflection.
In this course, James will demonstrate his wax up techniques through strategic approach in creating zones from a single tooth (macro details) to balancing multiple teeth through imperfections, hence counter balancing the asymmetry of the patient’s facial structure.
This course will go on a deep dive on how to utilize illusions and limitation of human perception in color, size and depth. James will introduce his personally developed protocol to stay out of the plateau of growth and continue to improve wax up skills and techniques. Resetting ineffective habits of repetition such as waxing and off repetitively without control.
Instead, James will demonstrate his way of understanding the electric waxer. Having structured protocol to practice using the electric waxer to its full potential using its temperature to boil form and controlling surface differences.
Further understanding all the possible ways of observational techniques to
properly execute the most important step of restorative dentistry, which is the diagnostic wax up.
Hands-on waxing projects:
4-6 unit Anterior wax up
1-2 Posterior wax up
